About The Wine

Grüner Veltliner is a pleasant sipping wine and is one of Austria’s most popular varieties.

The grapes grow in Zantho vineyards around the villages of Andau and Jois which are characterized by dry, gritty and mineral soils. This Austrian region is called Seewinkel and is one of the hottest and driest regions of Austria, making it an ideal climate for growing Grüner Veltliner.

Tasting Notes:

Zantho’s Grüner Veltliner shows brilliant white-gold with green reflections. It seduces on the nose with spicy notes of fresh stone fruit and fine minerality. On the palate Zantho’s Grüner shows deep fruit along with fine acidity.

This wine is described as being pure fun and is the ideal summer wine with its moderate alcohol level.

Food Pairing:

Enjoy this wine with light salads, fish and as an aperitif.

Wine Enthusiast, July 2011. Score: 87/100.

Tasting Notes: This ultrafresh wine is in a very different style from Grüners of the Danube regions. It goes for the apply juice and lime flavors in a zingy texture.
