About The Wine

Zantho’s Beerenauslese is made from the Traminer grape.

While this wine is now available in Ontario, quantities are extremely limited.

The grapes grow in Zantho vineyards around the villages of Andau and Jois which are characterized by dry, gritty and mineral soils. This Austrian region is called Seewinkel and rivals the world’s best sweet wine appellations, including France’s Sauternes region and Hungary’s Tokay region.

Tasting Notes:

Zantho’s Beerenauslese shows deep golden colour with pink reflections. On the nose, it seduces with intensive aromas of rose pedals and exotic fruits. On the palate, the wine shows a mix of tropical fruit backed up by fine acidity. The finish is long and has honey-like tones.

Food Pairing:

Enjoy this wine with fruity deserts and creamy cheeses.
