Traluce: I.G.T. Umbria Sauvignon
About The Wine
Traluce reflects the strong desire of the wine makers of Le Velette to work with Sauvignon Blanc.
According to the producers, Traluce was immediately successful beyond all expectations. Sauvignon – a complex grape – has adapted extremely well to the soils and climate of Le Velette. After 20 years of experimentation and patience, Le Velette is now ready to bring their Sauvignon Blanc to the market.
Its colour is pale yellow with vivid greenish tints. On the nose, its full bouquet goes from the fruitiness of pink grapefruit, pineapple and passion fruit to the more mineral notes of sage and flint. It is fruity on the palate, it has an acid freshness but also a very soft smooth final taste.
This wine is perfect as an intriguing, exotic aperitif. Traluce can also be served with vegetable dishes in general, especially asparagus.
Recommended serving temperature: 12° C (66°F).
