Sole Uve: I.G.T. Umbria Grechetto
Pronounced “So-la Oo-vay”
About The Wine
Sole Uve is made from the Grechetto grape (100%).
This grape variety has been cultivated in this area for thousands of years.
Unlike most other whites, Sole Uve has great cellar potential.
Le Velette’s Sole Uve has an intense golden yellow colour. On the nose, it has traces of spice and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is rich and full, has good body balanced with a freshness that ensures its longevity.
Sole Uve is described as pure and decisive. It goes perfectly with the typical dishes of Orvieto tradition including bruschetta, crostini, polenta and typical cold pork meats as well as risotto and rich first courses based on meat.
About the Name
Sole Uve literally means ‘grapes only’. It is made from the best grechetto grapes that Le Velette harvests. These are the ones that have been turned gold like the sun.
